This fabulous midcentury bracelet is a striking combination of lustrous high carat gold and vivid bright green jade. The four pieces of natural oval jade are bezel set and outlined with a subtle rope motif. Between each piece of jade is a six leafed rosette that contains the image of a flower. All of the links are connected to each other by two rows of delicate jump rings.
The bracelet fastens with a box clasp and has a safety chain, ensuring that if the clasp fails the bracelet won't be lost. It's made for a small wrist and measures approximately 6" in length.
Civilizations are built on jade and the Chinese call it the stone of heaven—it's unusual in that while it's relatively soft it's also very tough, meaning it's vulnerable to scratching but resistant to breaking and chipping. Historically used as jewelry, weaponry, and tools, jade is a versatile and storied stone and A.J. considers it her favorite gem.
