This is our Three Tone Gold Mokume Gane Patina His and Her Band.

Mokume Gane is Japanese for wood grain metal. It's made by fusing sheets of the different metals together with heat to form a billet, the combined alloys. The billet is then reshaped in a various of ways that changes the patterning of the alloys. The result beautifully emulates wood grain.     

This Mokume Gane is made with three different metal alloys: 14K rose gold, 14K white gold palladium, and sterling silver.

These rings are finished with patina. This patina oxidizes the sterling silver to darken it. See this ring without the patina.

These rings are cut from the same grain. The patterns line up - they're meant to be together.

The width of his ring is 7mm. The width of her ring is 4mm.

Customize the width of this ring, the metal alloy, or dress it up by banding it.

Changing the type and quantity of metal alloys and the can drastically alter the look of the wood grain. The look can also be changed with a patina, usually by darkening the metals. Be sure to find the Mokume Gane that best suits you.

Each ring is handmade: hand fabricated, sized, soldered, and hand finished in my one-woman home studio shop.
